Ellen Zakharian, Esq., discovered her passion for advocacy at a young age. At just 13 years old, she competed in national mock trial competitions and was selected to participate in Duke University's prestigious Moot Court Competition. These early achievements set the stage for a career dedicated to giving clients a voice and delivering results in even the most challenging legal arenas.

Ellen began her legal career at the age of 18, gaining hands-on experience before starting her undergraduate studies. Recognized by her professor at UCLA for her exceptional aptitude, she was selected to work on entertainment law matters, including copyright, licensing, and intellectual property disputes. This early exposure to high-stakes legal work shaped her meticulous and results-driven approach, which continues to define her practice today.

Ellen has served as second chair in pivotal trials under the Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act, advocating against major manufacturers to secure justice for consumers. Her skill in negotiating directly with dealerships has resolved complex disputes, ensuring her clients receive meaningful outcomes with efficiency and care.

In employment law, Ellen has represented clients in high-profile cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage disputes. Her strategic handling of claims under FEHA, CFRA, and PAGA has positioned her as a trusted advocate for individuals navigating workplace injustices. Ellen also played a central role in the $13.5 billion PG&E settlement, representing over 1,000 households devastated by one of the deadliest and most destructive wildfires in U.S. history.

Her early work with the Securities and Exchange Commission sharpened her ability to handle complex financial and corporate matters, preparing her for high-stakes legal challenges. Additionally, her experience in the hospitality and entertainment industries allowed her to work with high-profile clients and celebrities, further refining her ability to provide bespoke solutions with professionalism and discretion.

Ellen earned her Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School, where she was honored for her excellence in advocacy and awarded for her legal drafting skills. She is currently completing her MBA at Claremont Graduate University, further enhancing her ability to address legal issues with strategic and business insight. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from UCLA, where she graduated with distinction.

Fluent in Armenian and conversational in Spanish, Ellen connects with clients from diverse backgrounds, ensuring their voices are heard and their stories are understood. Outside the office, she is passionate about tennis, a sport that embodies her values of discipline, precision, and resilience. She also draws inspiration from the arts and film and finds meaning in exploring the world and embracing diverse perspectives.
